Cat City Screening at The Plant

Join us at The Plant in our Packingtown Museum on Fri. Apr. 26 for a special screening of “Cat City,” a documentary by Ben Kolak that delves into Chicago’s intricate relationship with feral cats.

Nestled in the heart of our city, the film uncovers the narrative behind Chicago’s 2007 ordinance safeguarding feral cats, and explores the complex interactions between community cats, their caretakers, and the broader city environment. The film tackles the challenges faced by cat colonies and the ongoing debates among cat advocates and birders, offering an all-encompassing look at urban wildlife and its coexistence.

The screening starts at 7pm and will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker. Admission is free, and you can preview the trailer here!
